Insurance defense litigation firm is seeking a highly motivated full-time personal injury litigation paralegal.
The successful applicant must be able to draft and respond to discovery, summarize and analyze voluminous medical records, demands and interact with clients in a deadline-oriented environment.
This is not a secretarial position.
Responsibilities include:
Draft pleadings, discovery, medical and discovery summaries, demands and other legal documents.
Coordinate, assemble and prepare documents for production and proceedings.
Assemble trial exhibits and trial binders as well as drafting pleading and discovery motions.
Investigating facts and laws of cases and searching public records and other resources to prepare cases and determine causes of action.
Communicate with clients, when necessary.
Skills/Qualifications:
3-7 years of experience litigation (required).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, writing and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and ensure timely completion.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal court rules and filing procedures.
Works independently with minimal supervision and instruction.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.
and Adobe).
Has a team-player attitude and is reliable.
Required Education:
Associate or Bachelor's.
ABA Paralegal Certificate.

The hourly range in California for this role is $30.
00 - $35.
00 and represents the firm's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting.
The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidates experience, qualifications and location.
