Hal Hays Construction is looking for an experienced *Traffic Control Manager *to grow and oversee our entity *Straight Arrow, Inc.
*This is a _*full-time *_position out of our corporate office in Riverside*, CA.

*JOB SUMMARY:* This is a *management and business development* role to increase *Straight Arrow's* footprint in Central and Southern California.
Responsibility is to connect and develop relationships with contacts in the construction and other industries to help acquire more clients for the company.
You'll be primarily responsible for business development, budgeting, estimates, resource allocation, client relations, leading client and potential client meetings, contract negotiations, drafting traffic control plans, and dispatching crews.

*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Must be fluent in *MUTCD *and transit standards related to traffic control
* Develop and take ownership of creating new business opportunities in Central & Southern California
* Grow and maintain a revenue quota and a robust project funnel
* Develop leads and make outbound calls to schedule appointments and meetings with current and potential clients in order to acquire new business opportunities.
* Negotiate contracts and obtain necessary permits.
* Introduce/present the company to prospective clients, referral partners, and other organizations.
* Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner
* Monitor daily work activities to ensure proper adherence to job site safety policies and procedures
* Ensurement of constant compliance with regulatory, safety and company requirements, policies and best practices while seeking continuous improvement and development.
* Direct the work of employees and /or subcontractors assigned to the project.
* Manage meetings and correspondence with existing clients.
* Set recurring meetings to update the Executive Team regarding your plans and progress
*Experience and Qualifications:*
* Minimum (5) years of traffic control experience
* Must be fluent in *MUTCD *and transit standards related to traffic control
* Prior experience drafting traffic control plans, and dispatching crews
* Prior experience in business development a plus
* Manages difficult customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service, responds to requests for service and assistance, and meets commitments.
* Attention to detail, data analysis, the ability to prioritize and execute, problem solve, have excellent documentation skills, and good interpersonal skills are a must.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.
* Excellent written/communication skills and ability to work well with others.
* Must pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background check
* Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
