OVERVIEW:
This position will lead in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, encompassing the review and preparation of journal entries, month-over-month financial comparisons, account reconciliations/analysis, the closing process, and coordination of the year-end audit.
The successful candidate should effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high degree of organization and attention to detail.

This position reports to our Controller.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensure accurate and timely monthly and year-end close.
Provide day-to-day management of monthly financial processes, including monthly closes, accounts payable, intercompany transactions, and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Manage the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of outstanding balance sheet issues.
Document processes to maintain adequate internal controls for handling accounting activities and ensure compliance.
Coordinate with and prepare schedules for external auditors.
Seek efficiencies and process improvements in financial close and reporting operations.
Oversee and/or prepare income tax package information.
Perform variance expense analysis as necessary.
Conduct various ad-hoc analyses and reconciliations as necessary.
Manage assigned accountants, including training, coaching, and performance reviews.
Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures of the general accounting group.
Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, and insurance records.
Prepare statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
Review account reconciliations and verify their accuracy.
Participate in internal audits of accounting and administrative controls.
Review financial statements with management personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS in accounting or finance, CPA preferred.
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3 as a supervisor or manager.
Experience with foreign currency transactions, including swaps.
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Ability to analyze complex transactions in a fast-paced and dynamic organization.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Knowledge of Netsuite ERP is a plus.
