Position Summary The Clinical Supervisor, BCBA will provide support to individuals and their families by coordinating and providing behavior analysis.
The primary function of this role analyzes and assesses behavior and help with adaptive life skills.
To provide clinical oversight of cases, supervise, train and mentor behavior consultants and therapists.
To work collaboratively with parents and develop a therapeutic alliance with them.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.
Encourage clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, helping them to develop insight into themselves or their relationships.
Assist in the development, facilitation, and follow-up training in Applied Behavior Analysis, using both discrete trial training and natural environment training models of teaching.
To mentor and help develop behavior consultants and therapists to implement ABA effectively.
Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for clients and their families.
Provide model teaching and other direct instructional supports including, but not limited to, practicum supervision/teaching, class instruction and in-service instruction to other support professionals.
Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools, to conduct functional assessments and analyses when appropriate, and to develop appropriate behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, special education, psychology, or related discipline.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA, as certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board).
Strategizes training related to working with clients who have pervasive developmental disorders and related.
Ability to demonstrate competence in behavior management skill, instructional skills, oral and written communication, organizational skills, and interpersonal relations.
Ability to work with a variety of clients in regard to age, functionality, and with minimal direction.
Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook systems.
