Job Requisition ID: 10040 Position Summary/Position This position is responsible for the supervision of staff and will provide guidance to address and resolve issues that arise.
The Accounting Supervisor will also ensure that both regulatory and internal guidelines are followed in conjunction with IEHP’s policies and procedures as they apply to the areas of cash application, accounts payable, and Treasury management.
Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) 1.
Supervise and manage the performance of team members.
Coach, mentor and develop staff to provide the highest level of customer service to IEHP’s internal and external customers.
2.
Provide guidance to staff on proper procedures in accordance with GAAP and act as point of escalation in difficult situations.
3.
Review and approve invoices ensuring accuracy of account coding, data entry, and complete supporting documentation.
4.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including Plan to Plan receivables and payables for CMS.
5.
Approve check requests necessary outside of the normal check runs.
6.
Facilitate the timely approval of check runs.
7.
Troubleshoot issues relating to check runs.
8.
Review and post journal entries.
9.
Identify areas where process improvements are needed and provide suggestions for implementation.
10.
Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of annual 1099 preparation and coordination of research in the event of discrepancies.
11.
Manage the process to research, resolve, and file Escheat reports with the State Controllers’ Office.
12.
Serves as a back-up to the Accounting Manager for absences, unexpected workload, etc.
13.
Ensure adherence to IEHP’s policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities Leader: Administers Hires, Terminations, and Performance Reviews Experience Qualifications Five or more (5+) years experience in an accounts payable, accounts receivable or general accounting environment.
Minimum of three years (3) in a supervisory capacity.
Experience with ERP systems required.
Preferred Experience Oracle Fusion experience a plus.
Education Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting from an accredited institution required.
Preferred Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.
Professional Certification Accounts Payable Management Certification preferred.
Skills Requirement Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word) Abilities Requirement Commitment to Team Culture The IEHP Team environment requires a Team Member to participate in the IEHP Team Culture.

Working Conditions Word processing and data entry involving computer keyboard and screens, filing and copying of records and/or correspondence.
Position is eligible for Hybrid work location upon completing the necessary steps and receiving HR approval.
All IEHP positions approved for telecommute or hybrid work locations may periodically be required to report to IEHP’s main campus for mandatory in-person meetings or for other business needs as determined by IEHP leadership.
