*SUMMARY:*
Applicant must possess current California Medical License, Current DEA License, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certification.
Current CPR certification required from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Three to five years of experience in an outpatient mental clinical setting.
Knowledge of working knowledge of computer programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Electronic health Records.
This position’s main role is to diagnose, assess, and treat mental illnesses using the appropriate combination of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, medication, and chemical imbalances that lead to mental disorder.
This position is also responsible for supporting mental health care provided by primary care providers and CD counselors treating patients in RSBCIHI community health clinics.

*MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
*1) *Analyze and evaluate patient data and test or examination findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder.
*2) *Prescribe, direct, and administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
*3) *Collaborate with primary care physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, alcohol and CD counselors or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.

*4) *Gather and maintain patient information and records, including social and medical history obtained from patients, relatives, and other professionals.
*5) *Counsel outpatients and other patients during office visits.
*6) * Examine or conduct laboratory or diagnostic tests on patient to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorder.
*7) *Advise and inform guardians, relatives, and significant others of patients' conditions and treatment.
*8) *Review and evaluate treatment procedures and outcomes with medical professionals
*9) *Design individualized care plans, using a variety of treatments.
*10) *Teach, conduct research, and publish findings to increase understanding of mental, emotional, and behavioral states and disorders.
*11) * Prepare and submit case reports and summaries to government and mental health agencies.
*12) * Use the EHR tracking system to document recommendations for treatment and / or referrals so that they can be easily shared with PCPs and other treating providers.
*13) *Ensure that all protected health information in local computer/networks is stored in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
*14) *Serve on committees to promote and maintain community mental health services and delivery systems.
*15) *This Position will attend medical and BHS meetings to coordinate communication and planning between BHS and Medical.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*
*Education:*

The position requires sedentary work in an office setting with long periods of sitting, some standing, walking, and bending.
