Up for sale is this mint condition made in England solid state amp from the 80's! And by mint, I mean one of those crushed-up-out-of-the-wrapper ones you find miraculously in your laptop bag when you need it most.
It's definitely seen it's fair share of usage, but still works very well.
It's been a dependable amp for me for years, but due to having three young kids in the house, I never have a chance to use it these days.
This is a 30-watt solid state system with a real spring reverb tank in it, the original 12" Celestion speaker, and a JCM style sound in a portable package.
All of the main components on this particular amp work.
There are a few issues to be aware of though:
- knob for the reverb is stripped, so it falls off easily and can't actually control the reverb level
- a couple pots (bass and reverb) are quite stiff
- minor tear in the mesh
- small nicks and tears in the outer tolex, overall well-loved condition
I'm hoping this goes to someone that can get this beauty up to speed with a few quick maintenance items and actually use it rather than have it sit in a closet like it has for the last couple of years.
I'm open to trades for a modeller (hx stomp xl, ampero stage), willing to put some cash on top to make it work.
