Free pond turtle adoption (Yucaipa)

Southern California Koi Rescue has many adult red ear slider (RES) turtles seeking new forever homes.
These adorable shelled creatures are relatively easy to care for within a backyard pond.
Simply add a short fence or barrier to keep your turtles from wandering off and you should be just fine.
Adult turtles are also omnivores, so they typically do just fine in ponds alongside koi and goldfish with no issues.
Just like koi fish, turtles also come to recognize the hand that feeds them and will typically race to the pond edge to greet you in hopes of getting a handout.
While a turtle diet food is ideal, in our experience typical pellet foods used for koi and goldfish also work just fine.
