We are seeking a Commercial Property Manager Assistant with at least 3 years of experience in Commercial Property Management, mainly of shopping centers with smaller retail and office tenants.
The appropriate candidate would need to have experience with commercial leasing, lease interpretation, CAM reconciliation, accounting, and supervision of repair and maintenance.
This manager would need to be capable of setting up a new commercial management company to handle all issues associated with our shopping centers.
The Assistant property Manager would need to have experience in handling the problems and issues that are normal for retail centers, such as expansion, signage, fair market value rent, options to renew, corporate leases, CAM reconciliation, homeless, and other matters.
We try to improve the centers in order to increase the value of the centers and to increase the patronage of the tenants.
This would entail advertising, landscaping, lighting, maintenance, signage, traffic flow and tenant visibility.
The appropriate candidate must travel between centers on a regular basis in order to interact with tenants and to determine how best to improve the centers for the benefit of all concerned.
Our assistant manager would need to be cost conscious and always justify expenditure based on the benefits received.
The work time is flexible.
The job may require showing vacant spaces on weekends, and handling emergencies at unusual hours and during weekends and vacations.
This may require some weekend showing or emergency repair.
Most of the repair work is done by contractors.
The manager needs to select the most reliable and cost effective contractors.
Minimum Qualifications for this position:
3 years commercial management experience using Yardi software.

degree or real estate salesperson license
Drives License without limitation or issues.
Ability and willingness to travel regularly between centers (travel and visiting centers may be 50% of time).
Use of personal vehicle with reimbursement for miles driven.
Ability to write and communicate correctly and effectively is a must.
Job evaluation to be significantly influenced by the quality of written and verbal communications.
Willingness to provide weekly reporting of personal work activities and a plan each week for the following weekly activities.
The quality of weekly reporting and communication of work plan and work accomplishments is a major component of employment evaluations for this job.
