I cannot recall when it was purchased, I think it might have been the mid-nineties.
It was used for a few small home projects, then the odd-jobs over the years, then for cutting up some kindling for the fireplace.
I have only ever used it for straight cuts, but it is supposed to be very adjustable for many angles.
This saw also comes with an added “wheels” kit.
This was an excellent addition, as it is much easier to move with wheels.
The Laser-Trac feature was always challenging to align, so we did not use it.
(It is still there).
This saw has a homemade sheet metal dust catcher added to the back for a large shop vac hose.
This could be easily removed if you like.
Additionally, this saw is no longer thermally protected.
Years ago, the saw suddenly stopped turning on.
It was discovered that some plastic parts on the thermal-protection circuit had crumbled from heat and age.
Replacing the board was not cost effective.
The board was removed.
This means that you will have to be cautious not to overload/overheat the saw if you use it vigorously.
However, for $60, even if you do use it for so many projects that you burn out the motor, you will not have spent too much money.
