*Position Purpose:* The primary function of a Maintenance Technician III is to establish and perform routine maintenance procedures, as well as help troubleshoot and quickly repair any mechanical or electrical problems should they arise with the manufacturing processes, supporting equipment, and systems in the facility.
Ensure production quality by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
The goal is to keep the manufacturing process 100% operational and minimize the amount of downtime.
*Essential Functions and Basic Duties:* * Assisting in the installation of new manufacturing equipment * Assisting with calibration of equipment or machinery * Routine inspection and testing of equipment and machinery – this needs to be planned to ensure minimal disruption of processes * Define preventative maintenance tasks to try to minimize unexpected issues with equipment * Clear documentation of both routine checks and repairs needed.
* Perform preventative maintenance per defined interval/schedule in a timely manner and documents maintenance concerns/resolutions; providing action plans and status reports as needed * Identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and simple electrical problems on plant facilities and production equipment.
* Assist with all installations and refurbishments (equipment, telecommunications, electricity etc.
) * Ensures that all work performed is in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
* Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs.
* Investigate and report building and equipment discrepancies.
* Maintain an organized and neat facility in an efficient, clean, and safe manner.
* Minor plumbing, electrical systems and carpentry repairs.
* Anything else asked of you that is necessary for the success of Pres-Tek Plastics.
*Qualifications* *Required Education/certification: * * High school diploma, GED equivalency or previous experience.
* Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification preferred or equivalent.
*Required Knowledge: * * 2 - 3 years of prior experience in Injection Molding Industry.
* IQMS experience preferred.
* Basic knowledge of major trades, such as plumbing, electrical systems and carpentry.
*Required Skills / Abilities: * * Well organized.
* Accurate and attention to detail.
* Strong mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills.
* Must be able to satisfactorily demonstrate proficiency in Machine Repair.
* Be able to perform basic reading and arithmetic problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Be willing and able to learn shop math, including simple geometry.
* Ability to assist and support others.
* Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, electrical schematics, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Effective planning/organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities.
* Ability to communicate effectively (written & spoken) as required for job related communication throughout the organization.
* Represents the company in a professional manner.
* Regular attendance required.
* Flexibility to work different shifts and/or overtime.
*Physical Requirements:* * Be able to safely complete the physical tasks associated with the essential job functions.
These tasks include extensive climbing, walking, lifting, bending, standing, carrying and squatting.
* Involves sitting, standing, kneeling and/or moving for extended periods of time, with the ability to exert up to 70 pounds of force to move objects.
* Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound perceiving their nature.
* Ability to extend hands or arms in any direction.
Repetitive motions, physical ability to sustain movements of the fingers, wrists, hands or arms.
* Ability to express or exchange information by means of spoken word.
* Must able to see (depth perception, near acuity and far acuity) and see colors.
* Must be able to maneuver safely around moving equipment and/or in congested manufacturing areas.
* Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, ear plugs, fully covered shoes, rubber gloves/boots, etc.
* Exposed to various packaging materials, raw ingredients, cleaning chemicals, lubricants, etc.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.
00 - $30.
