The production Lead works Under general supervision, the employee performs a full range of Lead assignments using supervisor as guidance to perform daily assigned tasks.
In this role, the Production Lead is responsible for coordinating, delegating and implementation of various activities in a group (Serves as a liaison between line operators, packers and supervisors.
Production Lead must ensure that all products leaving the plant meet the parameters established for customer satisfaction and quality.

Responsibilities and Duties:
To serve as a liaison between supervisors and workers on the line.
Verify that all personnel are present and with required PPE.
Ensuring compliance at all times with good manufacturing practices and safety standards.
Ensuring the programming of production and material request to the warehouse and distribution among workers of the lines.
Verify all machinery is in good working condition.
Provide other leaders or staff assistance (in the lunch hour, cover absent staff, repackaging product.
)
Coordinate product changes.
Verify date codes stamp, weights and appearance of the product (product must meet the established parameters and customer expectations)
Accurately complete documentation as needed.
Maintain work area clean.
Provide new personnel with the required training.
Carry out all the activities fulfilling the good practices of manufacturing.
Attend all the meetings of safety and quality.
Open to cover other positions as assigned by the Manager.
Comply with the regulations of the company.
Coordinate packing of product and the volume required
Ability to operate forklift to relocate product.
Requirements and Duties:
Knowledge of (lock-out/tag-out) procedures and employee safety practices
Ability to learn (SQF Level 2 system) requirements.
Basic knowledge of company employee policies.
1 years required for employment practices in a USDA Establishment.

3-year experience in the field (Food Industry is a plus)
