YOU The Multi-family Operations Manager (MOM) is a multifaceted position that functions as the head of administration for our in-office personnel.
The MOM is the primary point of contact for anything Multi-Family or project quote-related, as it pertains to pricing, inventory, vendors, warehouse/manufacturing, inside sales, etc.
Their duties entail overseeing a team and the various functions within the department, as well as addressing any internal obstacles that could impede our efficiency or detract from our commitment to delivering top-notch project management within the industry.
Problem-solving and finding solutions to an array of constantly evolving circumstances makes this position the conduit between our Multi-family Managers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Quote Representatives, Territory Managers, and customers.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time) Lead, motivate, and direct employees using effective performance management techniques, including establishing expectations and goals, providing recognition and feedback, and addressing performance problems.
Coach, encourage, and develop employees according to their unique interests and strengths.
Empower employees to take responsibility for their careers and performance.
Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members and the organization.
Tactically disperse work through team resources and ensure they have the proper skillsets to perform.
(30%) Develop reports and analyze current operations processes to determine what critical metrics/KPIs reports need to be developed.
Research and identify potential improvement opportunities and solutions.
Develop new methodologies to improve the effectiveness of the department processes to drive relentless customer focus.
(30%) Work directly with sales to manage specific projects.
Understand and apply the concepts and principles regarding project management: determining the stakeholders, timelines, budgets, communication channels, and subprojects needed to complete the overall project on time.
Apply the ability to read construction documents and consider cost implications, conflict resolution and attention to detail.
(20%) Manage quoting processes and act as the central point of contact for project quotes, pricing, and inventory collaborating with inside sales, outside sales, purchasing, warehouse, and production to solve issues and perform root cause analysis.
Collaborate with other branches to establish and implement standardized processes, aligning practices where possible to ensure consistency and promote best practices across the organization.
(20%) DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes.

Highly analytical mindset capable of expressing data into meaningful insights and developing an actionable plan.
Salesforce CRM and SAP Software experience preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of leading a team required, developing individual contributors.
7 years of combined experience in sales, manufacturing, and customer service.
Proven track record of project management and problem-solving in customer interfacing roles.
Preferred familiarity with Simpson Strong-Tie products including but not limited to; structural connectors, fasteners, concrete anchor products, and lateral systems including anchor tiedown system.
Speaking - Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Writing - Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Reading Comprehension - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Also including construction documents including project plans and specifications.
Analysis/Reasoning - Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Mathematical Reasoning - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Problem Solving - Ability to manage and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
Accountability & Dependability - Ability to hold self and others accountable for measurable, high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results.
Customer Focus - Ability to recognize adverse customer reactions and develops better alternatives.

Pay $86,800 - $138,900 / year REWARDS AT SIMPSON STRONG-TIE We recognize and reward employees with a carefully designed and comprehensive rewards package, including competitive compensation, quarterly bonuses or commission and first-rate benefits.

Quarterly Bonuses/Commission: You will be eligible for either a bonus or commission, paid on a quarterly basis.
