Global Environmental Products a leading manufacturer of street sweeping equipment is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to preform inspections on street sweepers as they are being assembled and when they come off the production line to ensure sweepers conform to the bill of material, customer specifications and meets the quality standards of ISO 9001:2008.
Responsibilities:
* Inspect sweepers, review Assembly Build Books and verify that all sweepers are assembled as per the Assembly Build Book and customer options have been installed, per the customer specifications.
* Verify that Assembly Build Books are signed off at each cell prior to coming off the production line.
* Perform minor repairs to mechanical, electrical and hydraulic system discrepancies found during pre-delivery inspection.
* Perform safety checks prior to road testing.
* Perform functional testing of operations after discrepancy found during inspections and repairs have been completed.
* Road test sweepers for performance.
* Verify the sweepers meet the quality standards of ISO 9001:2015.
* Work closely with Management and Team Leaders.
* Overtime is required to meet shipping schedules.
* Position may include other job responsibilities as determined by management.
Skills:
* Minimum of two years Quality Assurance inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Must have experience in heavy vehicle equipment repairs and service.
* Previous experience in performing vehicle testing and inspection.
* Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulics.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2001.
* Able to read blue prints and schematics
* Good computer diagnostic skills.
* Must have good communications skills; written and verbal.
* Safe work habits
* California Driver’s license with clean DMV record.
