Job Summary:
The Fitter/Welder will play an integral role in the production of our products.
You will have the opportunity to work as part of a team and strengthen valuable skills including organization, communication, and attention to detail.
You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision, you will work with the Production Supervisor and Production Planner who are committed to helping you find success.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Reads and interprets drawings and work orders to determine appropriate operations performed.
Completes fit-up, welding, grinding and deburring operations.
Uses appropriate inspection gauges.
Reports any malfunctions or equipment problems to management.
Experience in an ISO environment preferred.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and safety procedures.
Maintains clean, orderly and safe work areas at all times.
Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Requirements:
Physical:
Carrying, Stooping, Lifting and Reaching.
Lifting Requirements: Up to 40 pounds.
Required to walk frequently.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is generally required to stand, bend, kneel, twist, push, and pull.
Mental
The use of the English language, both Oral and Written.
Capable of communicating clearly and concisely to all personnel.
Requires daily communication with multiple departments to insure maximum efficiency.
Education & Skills:
AWS standards for carbon and stainless processes: GTAW, FCAW, SMAW
Familiarity with Duplex, Ni-hard, Alloy 20.
Technical Standards and Safety Authority - TSSA
Previous Certification Forklift and Overhead Crane
Understanding of metrology
Ability to read and interpret production drawings
Knowledge of both manual and electrical tools
Advanced Math, including geometry and trigonometry.
Self-Starter
Experience:
5+ Years Welding experience in a production environment
Technical School Graduate or equivalent
Working Conditions:
Hours of operation: 6:00am to 2:30pm
