*Summary/Objective* Responsible for development, implementation, training and administration of Company safety and health policies, programs and practices.
The position will function as an advisor to management on technical and regulatory issues and act as a consultant for Operations to increase efficiency and secure a safe working environment.
Role ensures compliance with AMI/RSAC, federal, state and local government Safety & Health regulations and requirements.

* Develop, monitor and update safety regulatory and awareness policies and educational training for company management, supervisors, and employees.
* Revise current policies and procedures to meet changes in Operations and/or regulatory requirements.
* Analyze safety performance, make recommendations and drive positive change.
Communicate to leadership and Operations management the requirements for improving performance including addressing issues, concerns and corrective actions.
* Developing, monitoring, and disseminating company safety goals and/or benchmarks to company employees and subcontractors.
* Participate in Safety Meetings as well as Safety incident investigations and root cause analysis.
This will include “potential” immediate site visits to investigate any significant Incident.
· Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety · Evaluate and audit practices, procedures and facilities/operations to assess risk and adherence to the policy, procedures, and regulations.
Auditing and/or evaluation of each facility to be a minimum of twice per year.
· Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention · Inspect/Audit equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions · Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to discover root causes and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented · Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures · Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics *Fleet/Company Vehicle Safety (where applicable)* · Develop and implement general Fleet Safety Program Policies and Procedures · Assist in establishment and monitoring of employees who Drive company Vehicles · Development and Implantation of Fleet Safety education and training program · Ensure Safe Operation of company vehicles/fleet as well as Safe Transport of Cargo · Monitor to ensure that company vehicle/fleet maintenance programs are being followed and equipment is kept in a Safe Operating condition *Requirements* * Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines * Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies.
* Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment * Excellent organizational and motivational skills * Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability * Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities * Valid qualification in occupational health and safety *Competencies* Problem Solving/Analysis Technical Capacity Communication Proficiency Decision Making Collaboration Skills *Supervisory Responsibility* This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
*Work Environment* This job operates in a production office and warehouse environment.
The employee is occasionally exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
