Position: Industrial Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Industrial Engineer to join a small team that is helping to make this transformation a reality.
About the Position
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the industrial engineer will be responsible for improving efficiency with the manufacturing and distribution functions.
Working closely with the engineering, production and logistics you will be implementing improvements in production and warehouse processes to help the company better serve its customers.
Duties and Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
Apply Industrial Engineering methods for process improvement and problem solving, to increase overall operational efficiency.
Create and maintain required documentation for manufacturing processes, including flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, and line balancing.
Perform capacity planning process by managing data collection, capacity modelling, and analyzing and prioritizing capacity improvements.
Responsible for manufacturing line design and managing layout change control implementation projects.
Manage construction projects, directing outsourced engineering and construction vendors as well as working with cities to get permits.
Apply Lean principles to improve business processes, coaching and mentoring other associates on Lean methodology.
Collaborate with Engineering, production, supply chain and more to define key performance metrics and create systems for monitoring performance.
Understand standard cost and create systems to measure cycle times for standard cost models.
Effectively communicate and influence individuals, teams, and across the organization.
Lead manufacturing/distribution facility setup, expansion and modification including creating layouts, ordering equipment and coordinating external contractors.
Embody and promote the company culture.
Minimum Required:
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of experience of industrial/manufacturing engineering with a focus on manufacturing
Demonstrated ability to drive projects with diverse teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing and six sigma principles
Extensive detailed analysis experience to make data-driven decisions and summarize results for executives.
Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing.
Experience with layouts in AutoCAD and/or Microsoft Visio
Advanced experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
An ability to take initiative and work with limited direction.
Good analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
Strong English communications skills, both written and verbal
Good interpersonal skills: strong relationship building skills.
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
3+ years of experience of industrial engineering with a focus on logistics
Experience of setting up manufacturing facilities, coordinating with contractors & engineers
Experience of sheet metal manufacturing
Experience of standard product production and custom product production

Schedule: Morning shift
Pay Range: Starting at 125kK to 150K
