About The Opportunity The Floor Lead ensures an acceptable finished product for our customer.
The person in this position is responsible for overseeing of the production line leaders and that the floor operates in a productive manner.
The Floor Lead is also responsible for directing and training all new Line Leads in the production processes, safety and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs).
Key Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines Supervise and train all Line Leads in the production process Serve as a backup to the Production Supervisor Work in conjunction with the Quality Department for positive production results Conduct inspection of the product every hour or more frequently if the job is complex or critical in its design or use Keep abreast of the rates of the jobs running on the production line Responsible for work packets being filled out correctly, accurately, and on time Maintain a professional demeanor and performance in supervision of staff Communicate with other departments to ensure customer order deadlines are met Perform all computer functions in Warehouse Management System (WMS) to include: delete and complete orders, adjust LPN’s, verify quantities produced, print and adjust PTS reports, and verify quantities produced Process information and merchandise through computer system Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements Assist the Line Leads with Item completion, ordering to the line, opening the shift, closing the shift, and reclaim Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals Assist in balancing Line Lead production hours, as well as verification of all analytical data at end of shift Identifies equipment needs and set up lines accordingly Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product Coordinate manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions Analyze and resolves work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems Perform hourly checks during shift to maintain efficiencies Mentor and develop line leads, and share expertise with others Responsible for enforcing and obtaining all aspects of the line lead function Assist the Line Leads in training Line Workers Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors Education and Experience Education Required - None Education Desired - High School Diploma or Equivalent Skills & Experience Work Experience Required - Minimum 1 year of related experience or training in warehouse production Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed Ability to effectively work in teams Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles Ability to lead/supervise large groups of associates Understanding of quality standards, methods and reporting as required Demonstrate a “team player” demeanor Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Ability to plan in advance for production in assigned areas Ability to interpret instructions (both verbal and written) Ability to produce at a high level through assigned staff Ability to work with plant management for required results Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management System) and ability to operate WMS handhelds Must possess good interpersonal skills Must be familiar with production line set up and efficiencies Physical Requirements Walking, standing, bending for duration of shift Frequent lifting of 25 pounds or more Primarily works in a warehouse setting Work Hours and Compensation The anticipated hourly range for this position is $18.
00-$25.
00 based on experience and qualifications.
This position is also eligible for a success share bonus and benefit package.
This position works Monday - Friday from 4:30 AM - 1:30 PM This position may be required to work overtime up to 12 hours/day or on Saturdays and Sundays depending on the volume of the workload and/or special projects Advancement opportunities within! Two companies, one vision.
