is looking for an experienced *Civil Construction Foreman* for project’s located throughout Southern California to join our talented and award-winning team.
This is an *operating foreman* position, requiring experience operating heavy equipment including, but not limited to, skid steers, backhoes, and excavators.
Classification (Exempt/Non-Exempt): Non-Exempt
*General Summary of Position*: Completes construction projects by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors, field staff, and sub-contractors.
Position may oversee one or more jobs/areas at a time.
*Essential Functions/Responsibilities:*
* Supervise crews of 10 or more to conduct construction activities in an efficient and coordinated manner.
* Operate heavy equipment
* Communicate to project managers/supervisors.
* Ability to read plans and specs.
* Ensuring quality work and correct practices.
* Complete Daily Field Production Reports on a daily basis.
* Ensure company employees and subcontractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
*Qualifications:*
* 3-5 years construction experience working in the capacity of on-site working foreman.
* Proven experience as a heavy civil construction site leader getting jobs done on time, within budget and with high quality work
* Knowledgeable in Heavy Civil construction
* In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines
* Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills
* Ability to communicate and report effectively
* Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
* Manages difficult customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.
* Must be able to travel to various jobsites
* Required to have a valid Driver’s License
* Must pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background check.
