The County of Riverside Transportation Department has an opportunity for a Traffic Control Painter in Riverside.
This position may require driving throughout Riverside County.
The incumbent will play a key role in maintaining County roadways by painting, repairing, and prolonging street and highway markings, legends, bridges, and guard rails.
The selected candidate will also be responsible for locating, assembling, and maintaining street signs throughout the County of Riverside.
Additionally, the Traffic Control Painter will be tasked with maintaining paint spraying equipment, performing traffic control, and interpreting signing and striping plans.
The Transportation Department seeks candidates with a background in road construction and traffic control as well as experience reading engineering plans.
The most competitive candidates will have extensive experience operating airless sprayers, working on and alongside open highways, and maintaining traffic signs.
Possession of a valid Commercial Class B California Driver's License is required within six months of hire.
