Technician
Job Summary:
The Technician will perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on the customer, commercial, and dealer-owned water treatment equipment.
Performs field service as required to support the customer.
Technicians are specialists responsible for installing and servicing water treatment equipment and plumbing fixtures with the highest quality of customer service.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Spends time assessing customer owed equipment, ensuring great craftsmanship.
Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of water softeners, reverse osmosis, and other water systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, commodes, water softeners, etc.
Identifies opportunities to update or improve the installation/service departments and makes recommendations to the Installation Manager or other appropriate staff.
Provides exceptional customer service
Explains in detail the installation process and service process to all customers
Is respectful of others' home
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent technical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Extensive knowledge of installation/service procedures and principles.
Organized with attention to detail.
Ability to resolve customer complaints and issues while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.
Ability to coach and mentor technicians under the direction of a supervisor.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
At least four years of plumbing-related knowledge.
Previous experience in soldering/welding preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift/Push/Pull up to 50 lbs pounds at times.
Crouch, bend and crawl in too tight spaces.
Must be able to actively and professionally mentor and train other technicians
