The County of Riverside’s Office of County Counsel has an opportunity for a Legal Support Assistant I - CN (LSA I) located in Riverside and assigned to the Contracts Division.
Under general supervision, the LSA I performs a wide variety of specialized and responsible clerical work involving the continual use of legal terminology and procedures; assists in processing and tracking a variety of legal documents, records and correspondence; performs the required specialized legal clerical work in support of legal staff within the Office of County Counsel; and performs other related duties as required.
The Legal Support Assistant I - CN (Confidential Non-Exempt) is the entry level class in the Legal Support Assistant series and provides clerical support to attorneys and/or other County staff within the Office of County Counsel.
Incumbents may be expected to promote to the journey level class of Legal Support Assistant II - CN after acquiring the necessary experience and training and demonstrating satisfactory job performance.
Employees in a Confidential designated class are defined by Section 3.

of the Employee Relations Resolution, as "any employee who may be privy to the decision-making process of County management affecting employee relations" and are only authorized for use within the departments of Executive Office, Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, and Human Resources.
The Office of County Counsel desires candidates with experience in a fast paced environment completing heavy office support work such as recordkeeping and processing and tracking contracts.
